South Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum

The South Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum covers South Yorkshire. It is one of four forums the Cabinet Office lists for Yorkshire and the Humber, and the gov.uk list says that forum areas are based on police areas.

Its secretariat sits with South Yorkshire Police, at the force's operations complex in Sheffield. The forum's web page is on the southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk site.

The forum publishes a community risk register, which the gov.uk entry calls the South Yorkshire Emergencies Community Risk Register, and links from the same page. A community risk register is the forum's published list of the risks it has identified for its area, so that residents and local organisations can see what is most likely to affect them and prepare for it.

That page is where residents of South Yorkshire find local advice on preparing for emergencies. Local resilience forums are explained on the who does what page.
